Your privacy is important to us. Learn how ALPH4 collects, uses, and protects your data.
Introduction
Welcome to the ALPH4 Bot Privacy Policy. This document is intended to let you know what kind of data ALPH4 collects about you and your server when using this Discord bot. As I am sure you understand that the collection of data is very important for the bot to work as best as it possibly can. We will be listing all the data we collect from each of the modules ALPH4 has some of the data we mention may be sensitive but please note that very few people have access to your data.
Data Collection
When inviting the bot ALPH4 will join your Discord server, upon joining it will collect basic server information such as the owner ID as well as the server ID ensuring it is not blacklisted by the bot. Once in your server, it will track the usage of the bot by its server users to see if it is being spammed by a specific user or a group of users. If so they will be immediately blacklisted and the bot will leave the server immediately. When blacklisted we will gather the blacklisted user ID or the blacklisted server ID and store it in our database so in the future when the bot is invited by a blacklisted user then it will leave straight away.
The bot will track how many messages you send per minute as it will reward you economy coins as part of our levelling system. Please note we do not in any way shape or form record your messages you send in your Discord server. Other data we collect are webhook URLs when you setup moderation logs in your server as well as channel IDs for the suggestion, moderation and economy channels.
I am sure you are aware we have moderation logs for almost every server action taken, you can find the full list here, this will log in the moderation channel for your purpose only. Please note we do not track or have access to this and only you do. When running the member, server info and user info commands this will collect sensitive data such as your status, presence, account and server creation date, discord server and user ID, and which device you are using Discord on.
When using the bot we collect data to determine if you are blacklisted or not, if you are then the bot will simply not respond to your queries. We also store your economy balances as well as when you last used each of the commands as they each have cooldowns. When DMing the bot as part of our ModMail system the bot will check to see which mutual servers you have with the bot in order for you to DM the correct server.
Data Stored
Your data is stored safely on an Ubuntu virtual private server situated in the US with high-end encryption managed by the owners of the bot. Some data such as server configurations and economy points may be valuable to you so we often back up the data onto a MongoDB atlas.
The data is stored in different ways and for different amounts of time depending on the data stored, for example, say if your server was blacklisted then your server was deleted then this data would be removed from our database the same would go for user IDs and channel IDs.
Childeren's Privacy
ALPH4 does not address anyone under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personally identifiable information from children under 13. In the case we discover that a child under 13 has provided us with personal information, we will immediately delete this from our database. If you are a parent or guardian and you are aware that your child has provided us with personal information, please contact us so that we will be able to take the necessary actions.
Changes to this policy
We may update our Privacy Policy from time to time. Thus, you are advised to review this page periodically for any changes. We will notify you of any changes by posting the new Privacy Policy on this page. These changes are effective immediately after they are posted on this page.
